Borrow Taking Charge of Your Fertility from the library or buy it. Start charting temps (and cm/cp if you want also). Buy opk in bulk online so as not to skimp or run out (and saves $$). Use the Sperm Meets Egg Plan (SMEP) for scheduling your bding http://www.pregnancyloss.info/sperm_meets_egg_plan.htm
If you're new to charting and/or have irregular cycles, it may take a couple cycles to see what your normal is. Don't assume you'll O when the chart/calendar says to, that's what the temping, opk, etc. are for.
Also, you can look at lots of completed charts over at ovusoft.com. They have lots of categories to look at.
Good luck!

Megan, we are in the same boat! I have been trying to comceive for some time now but due to me being ignorant about the way things work, I wasn't successful! I had no knowledge about ovulation, the best times to have sex, luteal phase, I mean nothing! I DIDN'T KNOW NADA LOL! But I've obtained lots of useful knowledge from this site, other sites and you guys! I will utilize it as well! Now what I mean by we are in the same boat is that our cycles are the same! I started my cycle March 1 and it was over yesterday! So I'll try again this month! BABY DUST TO YA SWEETS!

You won't know what day you should start BDing unless you start taking your temp daily or using OPKs to let you know when you ovulate. I have a 32 day cycle and ovulate on day 19. Someone else with a 32 day cycle could ovulate day 14, day 11...it varies from person to person. You should really get some OPKs so you don't waste time doing it on the wrong days hoping to get pregnant.

Buy OPK in bulk online to save money. They give you advance notice. Also temp, which will confirm O. Def. read TCOYF. Good luck!

I o between CD 10-13, so for me, waiting until day 12 or later could be after I o - so I'd miss the chance altogether! If you know how long your cycles are, that can give you a better idea of when to expect o, but like Wee and Cinn said, if you want any real information, you need to start charting temps, cm and/or OPKs. TCOYF is an awesome resource. I read it cover to cover when I first started temping to have my dd 10 years ago. Also, you don't need to bd 2-3 times a day or anything like that either...once a day or every other day is plenty! (Don't want dh to wear out and give up on ya before o day! :) Good luck, and if you have questions - ask away! These ladies are wonderful on here.
