Has anyone heard of doing that? For some reason I remember someone posting that they had done that.

I have seen it on other boards, but since the OPK picks up different hormones than a HPT, it isn't accurate for a HPT and the women always had to run out and but a reg HPT anyway. The theory is that a OPK would be + if you are pregnant. But the women I knew who took it as a HPT never got the test line to be as dark or darker than the constant line, so not a +.

Hey Sooner..it tells you how it can be accurate on www.peeonastick.com BUT I actually took one in the morning when I thought I was PG and it turned up neg. I went to the store feeling and bought a HPT the same day and it came up BFP. So that shows that it doesn't really work..maybe for some women it has but most it hasn't I think.

Think it depends on the brand...not sure which, but one does work as an hpt. Usually best to get the hpt if + OPK (assuming you already O'ed of course) to double check. Hoping you are right and not just O'ing now (but you got hearts in there to cover)...let us know if do test with hpt and if neg, might be you just O'ed. Looking at chart, could be either O or tri phase starting. Good luck and BABY DUST! :)

Thanks ladies.I wasnt testing for BFP, i just was testing to see if I getting closer to "O"ing and was suprised by the positive result. I will test friday depending on temps in the next few days and how my symptoms play out.
